Still on bears, the career of Peter Rosengard, the City’s go-to life insurance salesman, has taken a rather ursine turn.

At 9.30am next Monday, Rosengard will take up position at Edinburgh Zoo, where he will attempt to sell a life insurance policy to Tian Tian, the UK’s sole female giant panda, who is possibly with cub.

“I will ask her the usual questions I’d ask any other young mother to-be,” says Rosengard.
